Inspired by the current Ramses exhibition at the Australian Museum, view some of the Library’s most spectacular, awe-inspiring and valuable works documenting the exploration of Egypt in the nineteenth century.

These fantastic works include the monumental Description de l’Égypte, recording Napoleon’s conquest of Egypt, along with works by David Roberts, Giovani Belzoni, Luigi Mayer and Richard Lepsius. Even turning the pages of these large volumes will require a monumental team of Library curators!
