Architecture

Focuses on the built environment in Australia, with specific emphasis on NSW ranging from the vernacular dwellings of Indigenous Australians and the first European buildings recorded, to important architects of the twentieth century

Art

Includes the production, theory and representation of creative works such as sculpture, printmaking, painting and drawing. It covers Australian artists', art societies, technical information, critical analysis with an emphasis on art in NSW.

Music

Includes all forms of music and music-related materials associated with Australia, with emphasis on NSW composers, publications and performances. Indigenous music and music associated with immigrant and community groups is included.

Performing Arts

Includes public performances of dance, theatre, drama, pantomime, vaudeville, puppetry, circus and magic either staged before an audience or broadcast on film, radio, television or other media in Australia with a particular focus on NSW

Photography

Includes material relating to photography since its introduction in Australia in 1842, the use of photography to represent life in Australia particularly in NSW; photographers; art societies; the theoretical and critical analysis of photography.
