Privacy Management Plan

The Privacy Management Plan explains how the State Library of NSW manages personal and health information.

The purpose of the plan is to inform our clients and staff in how we manage personal information in line with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) (PPIP Act) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW) (HRIP Act).

The plan includes the Library's Privacy Protection Strategy with a general description of how we will comply with the Information Protection Principles (IPPs) and the Health Privacy Principles (HPPs). It also identifies major collections of information held by the Library and includes procedures for accessing and amending individual personal information, making a privacy complaint and requesting an internal review.
