Contracts Register
The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires the State Library to record and publish certain information about contracts worth more than $150,000 between itself and private sector bodies in a register of government contracts.
That register must be published on the State Library's website, and made publicly available on the NSW Government tenders website and in any other way that the State Library decides to make its open access information available.
Contracts that must be included in the government contracts register are those:
- between an agency and a private sector contractor
- signed after 1 January 2007
- for a value of $150,000 or more, and involve:
- the contractor undertaking a specific project such as construction, infrastructure or property development
- the contractor agreeing to provide specific goods or services
- the transfer or lease of real property.
Employment contracts do not need to be included in the register.
Contracts between the Library Council of New South Wales and private sector bodies signed after 1 January 2007 can be found on the NSW Government eTendering website.
Details of contracts signed after 1 July 2010 will be published on the State Library's website and on the NSW Government eTendering website.
