A Bunurong man, Bruce Pascoe is an award-winning Australian writer and editor. Published nationally and internationally, his works have won several national literary competitions.

Dark Emu explores the history of Aboriginal land management in Australia prior to colonisation and how we avoided the real history of the country for 220 years, preferring to tell ourselves a story of stoicism and courage.

Dark Emu won the 2016 NSW Book of the Year and was a joint winner of the 2016 Indigenous Writer’s Prize.
