Huguenot Surname Index: A master-Index to the Quarto series of the Huguenot Society of Great Britain & Ireland

The State Library of NSW is delighted to receive the Master Index to the Huguenot Quarto series on CD-ROM. The Quarto series of the Huguenot Society of Great Britain and Ireland includes all known surviving registers of Huguenot churches in those countries as well as naturalization records, weaving apprenticeships and more. An index on microfiche to volumes 1-59 was indexed by Mrs Ramsay Sharp and first published by the Society of Australian genealogists in 1996 & 2001. Robert Nash of the Huguenot Society of Australia has added volumes 60-61 and also Dover and Sandtoft. You can also use this index as a way of discovering if a surname is a Huguenot name. The master index of names directs you to a volume number in the quarto series and these quarto series either have their own index or are arranged alphabetically. The State Library also has the quarto series volumes on CD-ROM and the original volumes. Ask at the Family History Desk in the Family History Service at the State Libary of NSW for the CD-ROM.
