Published by the Friends of Gore Hill Cemetery, this is a complete alphabetical listing of the 15,000 burials to have taken place at the cemetery, between its dedication in 1868 and closure in 1974.
Gore Hill Memorial Cemetery is the oldest general cemetery in Northern Sydney, and is listed on the State’s Heritage Register, in recognition of its historical and architectural significance.
Index entries incude: Name, Section (Denomination), Plot Number, Dates of Death and Burial, Age, Transcript Number and Notes. The transcript number indicates the presence of a headstone and was taken from an earlier publication Gore Hill Cemetery Transcripts. This information may be viewed in that publication.
