Lake Mac Libraries celebrate!
This November Lake Mac Libraries will celebrate the 75th anniversary of free public libraries in New South Wales.
A simultaneous cutting of the birthday cake will take place across the Hunter region to recognise the important role public libraries play in the community.
Mayor of Lake Macquarie, Councillor Jodie Harrison, will join the celebration at Belmont Library on Monday 3 November for the cake cutting ceremony.
“We invite Lake Mac patrons to take part and enjoy a morning tea at their local branch”, said Council’s Library Section Manager, Jo Smith.
