On 25 April, Australians and New Zealanders pause to mark the anniversary of the 1915 landing of Allied troops at Gallipoli / Gelibolu Yarımadası in Turkey, and the beginning of the nine-month long Gallipoli Campaign.

Anzac Day in both Australia and New Zealand is a day to remember those who have died in war.
