Ernest Firth (Ernie), labourer of Pilliga NSW embarked from Sydney on HMAT SS Hawkes Bay, 23 Oct. 1915 and served with the 1st Light Horse Regiment, 11th Reinforcement. He was killed in action in Palestine, 3 Nov. 1917.
