Pre 1901 Irish census records online for the first time
Good news for those with Irish ancestry – Findmypast has released for the first time Pre 1901 Irish census records.
Despite the destruction of the Public Record Office Dublin in 1922 some records did survive and these have now been indexed and digitised. Records of more than 600,000 people in the 1821, 1831, 1841 and 1851 census can be accessed on findmypast Ireland.
