Do you work in a public library? Join us for our Rediscovering Indigenous Languages Transcribe-a-thon on Wednesday 5th July 2017 at 11am (via Blue Jeans video conference).
We are celebrating NAIDOC Week 2017 by inviting staff from public libraries around New South Wales to transcribe our Rediscovering Indigenous Languages material.
We invite you to play a role in revitalising Indigenous languages. Take part in our video conference Transcribe-a-thon to promote the theme of NAIDOC Week 2017 ‘Our Languages Matter.’ We will assist you to transcribe language lists from early surveyors and farmers trying to understand the local Indigenous languages. You can find instructions on transcribing here.
Help us to make our vital Indigenous languages collections accessible for the whole world to see and share. For more information contact Indigenous Services at the State Library: firstname.lastname@example.org or (02) 9273 1716.
