Operation Highjump, officially titled The United States Navy Antarctic Developments Program, 1946-1947, was a United States Navy operation organised by Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd, and led by Rear Admiral Richard H. Cruzen. It’s main objective was to establish the Antarctic exploration base Little America IV.

The Operation Highjump expedition has for many years been the focus of a number of conspiracy theories including the Hollow Earth hypothesis, the discovery of living woolly mammoths and a secret Nazi UFO base.
