Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Harbour Bridge is 85 years old! To celebrate the birthday of this iconic structure we are digging deep into Library collections and putting together stories for our website.

Check out this gorgeous flipbook and watch the bridge meeting in the middle – just one of the quirky items we would like to share with you.  We have wonderful photographs of the construction and opening of the bridge, oral histories of the bridge builders and all sorts of fascinating material - it's really hard to choose so... we would love to find out where your interests lie and what you would like to know about this instantly recognisable landmark?

Send your suggestions to learning.library @sl.nsw.gov.au and we’ll do our best to write the stories you would like to read!
