The Library offers prestigious and competitive fellowships to support the research, writing and teaching of Australian history and culture. The Library gratefully acknowledges that its fellowship program is supported through the generosity of significant private benefactors.

Coral Thomas Fellowship

Biennial. Award of $75, 000

Applications will open in 2017.  

David Scott Mitchell Memorial Fellowship

Annual. Award of $12,000

Applications will open 2 May and close 30 May 2016.

Merewether Fellowship

Annual. Award of $12,000

Applications will open 2 May and close 30 May 2016.

Jean Arnot Memorial Fellowship

Annual. Award of $1000

Applications will open 7 March and close 4 April 2016.

Scholarship @ State Library of NSW

CH Currey Memorial Fellowship

Annual. Award of $20,000

Applications will open 22 August and close 19 September 2016.

Nancy Keesing Fellowship

Anual. Award of $12,000

Applications will open 22 August and close 19 September 2016.

Australian Religious History Fellowship

Annual. Award of $20,000
