Australian readers never tire of new crime fiction and this talk brings together two authors from the genre, Peter Cotton and Richard Anderson who will be in conversation with crime writing specialist and academic Rachel Franks. Peter and Richard have both released new novels and will be talking about how they came to crime fiction and their new Australian titles. This discussion is a must for all crime fiction lovers!

 


Richard Anderson is a second-generation farmer from northern New South Wales. He has been running a beef-cattle farm for 25 years, has also worked as a miner and had a stint on the local council. Richard is the author of one previous novel, The Good Teacher.

Peter Cotton has been the media advisor to three federal cabinet ministers, worked as a foreign correspondent for the ABC, been a senior reporter on the ABC’s AM and PM programs, and had stories published in most major print outlets in Australia. Dead Heat is the second novel in the Darren Glass series, following Dead Cat Bounce.

Dr Rachel Franks is the Coordinator, Education & Scholarship at the State Library of New South Wales and a Conjoint Fellow at the University of Newcastle. An award-winning writer, her work can be found in a wide variety of books, journals and magazines as well as on social media.
