Renowned American writer and scholar Professor Jeffrey Meyers has written on Joseph Conrad, Wyndham Lewis, F Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway and Robert Frost. Meyers was fascinated to learn that each of these mostly older, married writers had an intriguing, but elusive, lover. As Meyers’ research progressed, these mysterious lovers took on an independent existence worthy of full-length study. In this lecture, Meyers reveals what happens when minor characters take on lives of their own.
Professor Jeffrey Meyers is a professional writer with a distinguished academic career. He has published 49 books and 800 articles on art, film, and modern American, English and European literature. Meyers lectures internationally and in 2005 he received an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
