We’re excited to welcome children’s author Tim Harris to the Library as part of our Family Program - Superheroes Sunday. Tim’s talk is guaranteed to have you in stitches as he shares tales from his hit series’ Mr Bambuckle’s Remarkables and Exploding Endings. This talk is suitable for 8-12 year olds and includes quizzes, video, stories, readings and general wackiness. Tim's presentations are highly engaging - be prepared to laugh a lot!children's book cover

Join us for Tim's talk from 11:00am -12:00noon and then stick around to enjoy a range of fun craft activities and Library tours with superheroes as a theme. Find out all about David Scott Mitchell and why he is a Library superhero and borrow one of our capes to wear while you explore the Library and discover your own super powers. Activites run from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

Tim Harris is one of the most exciting children’s authors in Australia. His first series of books, Exploding Endings, will have primary-aged readers both captivated and laughing out loud. The first book in the series, Painted Dogs & Doom Cakes, was awarded Honour Book at the 2017 KOALAs. His second series, Mr Bambuckle’s Remarkables, contains his trademark quirkiness, mixed with a touch of poignancy. The lead book was awarded a CBCA Notable in 2018 and has been shortlisted for the 2018 REAL Awards (as voted by children in NSW, Victoria and NT).
