Michael Sala: The Restorer

Past Event

Wednesday, 24 May 2017 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Join Michael Sala as he discusses his latest novel The Restorer with the literary editor of The Australian, Stephen Romei. After a year apart, Maryanne returns to her husband, Roy. With their children, they move to a derelict house in Newcastle. As Roy patches holes and plasters over cracks, Maryanne hopes that they can rebuild their life. But some cracks can never be smoothed over, and tension grows. Sala talks about his novel, in which uneasy family peace is ruptured with devastating consequences.
