National Biography Award Lecture

The annual National Biography Award Lecture celebrates life writing with a thought-provoking and often humorous address.

This year's lecture will be delivered by Dr Karen Lamb who was shortlisted for the NBA in 2016 for her biography, Thea Astley: Inventing Her Own Weather.

Dr Karen Lamb is the author of Thea Astley: Inventing Her Own Weather (UQP, 2015), shortlisted for six national literary awards, and winner of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Non-Fiction for 2016. She has edited a book of Australian short stories, and published book chapters and articles on Australian authors, including a book on Peter Carey. She teaches literature at the Australian Catholic University and lives in Sydney.
