Travel inspires, educates and provides us with unforgettable memories. Australians are renowned travellers and the State Library has some fascinating tales to tell. This program will focus on resources that highlight the various methods of travel from the 1800s to the present. Join us on a journey as we look at print manuscripts and artists’ interpretations that give insight into travel experiences from the exotic to the regional. We will delve into personal diaries, magazines, photographs, sketches and advertising.
