State Library Under 35s club

SLU35 Logo

The Library’s SL U35 club offers a cultural twist with a difference. The free club presents a unique blend of events featuring outstanding Australian talents across photography, fashion, art, music, contemporary literature, film and animation.

With members residing all over Sydney and as far afield as Peppermint Grove in WA, SL U35 events provide the ideal opportunity for members to mix with like-minded individuals who also enjoy a cultural fix now and then. Look for the funky yellow logo in the events page.

The biggest event on the SL U35 calendar is the Australian Poetry Slam. Last year 600 poetry enthusiasts competed in Australia’s first ever national poetry slam, ultimately won by Victorian poet Marc Testart.

The SL U35 club offers a number of great benefits. As a member you’ll get advance notice of all SL U35 talks and events, slide shows, film nights and exhibition launches via the monthly e-newsletter and occasional e-updates and postcards.
