Friends of the Library event.
Setting is hugely important to a crime writer. It sets the mood, it reveals character, it influences the plot, it can have a symbolic importance, and it helps establish credibility by rooting awful and sometimes bizarre events in the soil of a recognised place. Some authors manage to evoke a setting so well that literary tourists arrive in great numbers to do guided walks around the places associated with fictional characters.
Join Susannah Fullerton in an exciting journey around three very different and very beautiful cities, in the footsteps of three fascinating characters and some memorable murders.
1. 8 March: Colin Dexter and Inspector Morse in Oxford
