Designed for students in Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4), this workshop addresses outcomes from the NSW Syllabus for the Australian curriculum – History. Students engage in interactive learning activities and get ‘up close’ to original artefacts and manuscripts and hear the fascinating stories behind these iconic items. A highlight of the collection items on tour is an Indigenous wordlist from the area visited. In addition, items include personal belongings of Captain James Cook and convict Mary Reibey. A late 1800’s artwork created by Aboriginal man Tommy McRae, is also included.
