A Playground Walk
Share the picture book Rosie’s Walk by Pat Hutchins, focusing on the words describing position or movement.
Students plot a trail through their pictorial map. Using the language of position they record a verbal trail through their playground map in a similar format to the text in Rosie’s Walk. Another student follows the trail guided by the recording.
