In Stage 2, Community and Remembrance provides a study of identity and diversity in both a local and broader context. Students explore the historical features and diversity of their community, and examine significant symbols, emblems, celebrations and commemorations.
First Contacts introduces world history and the movements of peoples. Beginning with the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Peoples, students examine European exploration and colonisation in Australia and the world to the early 1800s.
This program, along with the accompanying programs for Early Stage 1, Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3, has been developed to assist primary school teachers to master changes to the History K-10 Syllabus.
