State Library hosts the Colin Simpson Memorial Lecture

The Library is proud to support the Colin Simpson Memorial Lecture which is delivered annually commemorating the literary and political achievements of the noted Sydney journalist and author.

Stan Grant, 2016 Colin Simpson Memorial Lecture

Presented by the Australian Society of Authors, this year's lecture will be delivered by Stan Grant, a Wiradjuri man, who has become one of the most important voices in Australian culture. Grant, a Walkley award-winning journalist, author and speaker, will deliver the 2016 prestigious Memorial Lecture.

To hear Stan Grant discuss shared identity and what it means to be Australian, join us in the Dixson Room (Mitchell Wing) on Saturday 14 May from 11am -12pm. Admission is free but bookings are essential.
