What is the Foundation?

Established in 1989 as the major fundraising arm of the State Library, the Foundation has contributed over $30 million from the private sector to support the important work of the Library.

The Foundation's objectives 

The Foundation aims to provide reliable and sustainable financial support to the Library to assist and further the preservation, development and improvement of the Library's collection, facilities and operations.

The Foundation aims to attract and retain the continuing interest and financial support of the community at large for the Library, through relationships with individual supporters, partners, corporate sponsors and family trusts.
