We have computers throughout the Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room that you can use to access:

You can also save to your USB on these computers.

The computers are free to use - you just need a Library card. You can sign up for a Library card online or when you visit.

There are also express computers in the Verandah, the Special Collections area and the Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room. You can use these computers for up to 30 minutes. The express computers are free to use and you don't need a Library card to use the computers.

You will need to accept the Internet Usage Policy to use the Library's computers.

You can connect to the Library's free wi-fi in all public areas of the Library. Select 'SLNSW' from the list of available networks to connect. By connecting to the wi-fi, you agree to the Library's Internet usage policy.

You can print from your own device via the Library's wi-fi. Printing from an iOS device (iPhone and iPad) is limited to photos. Find out more about wi-fi printing.

Communications over a wireless network are not secure. Information sent from or to your device can be captured by anyone who has a wireless device and the appropriate software. It's strongly recommended that you:

  • install the latest operating system and antivirus security fixes, patches and updates
  • always have your personal firewall software enabled
  • disable file sharing to prevent any malicious users gaining access to your device.

We recommend that you do not perform any type of internet banking or financial transactions via wi-fi. We cannot guarantee the connection is secure and is not being monitored. The Library assumes no responsibility for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from using the Library's wi-fi, including viruses, adware or spyware.
