Our family history service can provide you with advice on where to find information as well as suggest resources to help you with your research. Speak to a family history librarian on Lower Ground 2 of the State Reference Library.

RESEARCH GUIDES
You can find family history resources, selected by our family history librarians, by using our research guides. If your research is NSW-based, you will find the guides particularly useful.

Our getting started guides will provide you with a basic introduction to resources relevant to researching your family history.

When at the Library, you can search and access a large number of our eResources, including Ancestry Library Edition and Find my past, using your Library card.
