Multilingual glossary
The Multilingual Glossary database is a professionally generated signage tool designed for libraries. The glossary contains common library phrases in 49 languages. This tool facilitates communication between library staff and patrons from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

Promote your library to multicultural communities
Your public library welcomes you pamphlet has information about core library services offered to communites by NSW public libraries. Available in 44 languages including English.
The first version of the pamphlet is available in languages which are held in the State Library’s collection and includes information on how to borrow from the collections on interlibrary loan.
The second version is in languages which are not held in the State Library of NSW.
Promotional banners
Banners are available for loan to public libraries in New South Wales. The use of this promotional material is not restricted by language and it can be used as an invitation to discover many of the interesting resources that you have in your collections.
Multicultural Purchasing Cooperative
The Cooperative locates and purchases materials in languages other than English (LOTE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) on behalf of New South Wales public libraries. It also coordinates the cataloguing and end processing of resources.
By purchasing your library’s LOTE and ESL collections through the Cooperative, you will benefit from discounts due to bulk purchasing.
The Co-op is run by the State Library on behalf of NSW public libraries and is free of administrative charges.

Multicultural bulk loans service
The State Library of NSW holds collections in more than 40 community languages. These collections are loaned free of charge to the people of NSW through the public library network.

The Myloans service is for libraries to:
