Public Library Learning and Development Framework
The Public Libraries Consultative Committee endorsed a Public Library Learning and Development Framework (PDF 462Kb) at their meeting of 17 March 2014. The Learning and Development Framework identifies three outcome areas for the NSW Public Library network:
Skills and knowledge development across a broad range topics related to the library and information sector
Sharing of information and experiences
Inspiration and ideas generation
The Framework identifies three mechanisms to achieve the above learning and development outcomes: learning and development programs, learning communities and networks and policies and guidelines.
