Access from public libraries

Requesting a loan or copy from another library

The Document Supply Service can borrow items from other libraries for your use at the Library, and can obtain copies of articles from other Australian and international institutions. Fees apply for this service.

To request these items, you need to register for a readers card at the Request Desks or Copying Desks in State Reference Library or Mitchell Library. You need to give your name, address, telephone number and email address (if you have one), and provide at least one form of identification such as a driver’s licence, passport, student card with address, pension card, health benefits card, or recent utilities bill.

For more information, ask at the Copying Desk on Level 7 in the State Reference Library, or in the Mitchell Library, or telephone the Library.
