Associate Professor Richard White retired from the University of Sydney in 2013, having taught Australian history there since 1989. His publications include Inventing Australia, The Oxford Book of Australian Travel Writing, On Holidays: A History of Getting Away in Australia and Symbols of Australia. He has been a judge for the Premier’s Literary Awards and other history prizes, served on the Friends of the State Library committee and initiated the establishment of the History Council of NSW. He was co-editor of the journal History Australia from 2008 to 2013 and is a member of several editorial boards.
Dr Georgina Arnott
Georgina Arnott works as a Research Associate at Monash University on Australian history projects, principally in the areas of biography, family history, settler colonialism and literary history. Georgina’s first book, The Unknown Judith Wright (UWA Publishing, 2016), was shortlisted for the National Biography Award in 2017 and was a judge of the Award in 2018.
Dr Chris Cunneen
Chris Cunneen is an honorary fellow in the Modern History discipline at Macquarie University and was project co-ordinator for the Macquarie Pen Anthology of Australian Literature. Since 1974 he has been closely involved with the Australian Dictionary of Biography, and has written 80 of its entries. He is also the author of Kings' Men: Australia's Governors-General from Hopetoun to Isaacs and William John McKell: Boilermaker, Premier, Governor-General .
