The Rediscovering Indigenous Languages project is entering its second phase, which will focus on community consultation and discussions around how to engage communities with the language material.
Staff of the newly established Indigenous Unit will be liaising closely with community groups, and representatives, to inform them of the material identified and to discuss use of the material in the future.
The Reference Committee has provided important input into planning the consultation process. It has also been assisting with advice on the use of the language resources for education in schools and communities.
