Family History Research Guides

Family History Research Guides

The State Library of New South Wales currently have six Research Guides to help you do your Family History. We have put together all resources such as books, electronic resources, microfilm and original materials so you have a check list of what to search at your fingertips.

The Convict Guide is in two parts. The first one is Bound for Australia and this refers to the convict trial in the UK and the voyage out to Australia. The second is about Life in the Colony and looks at sources that document their new life in Australia and how the convict won his or her freedom.

They are well worth a look as they will guide you through you through your journey of discovery.
