This British Centre was financed by a non-profit comforts fund for British Military personnel, in particular those stationed here from the British Navy. It was a large building built in 1945 and was situated in Hyde Park (on the corner of Park and College Street) and provided support and entertainments. See some photographs of the building from our collections here and here as well as some images of events held there.
