Indigenous Services visited Liverpool public library

In Indigenous Services here at the State Library collaboration and community outreach are a large part of what we do. We recently visited Liverpool City Library in South West Sydney to tour their collection and meet with staff from the Council and Library.

Liverpool City Library are championing Indigenous services in NSW public libraries. The Library has a labelled Indigenous collection which helps to make people feel welcome and to identify books that might be of interest. The Library also feature Indigenous artwork on their walls and even on the carpet!

Indigenous Services wish to thank Liverpool City Library for hosting us. We look forward to seeing how they will continue to provide services to Indigenous communities in creative and innovative ways.
