On 1 October we will be kicking off our #libraryaday campaign!

In honour of the 75th anniversary of the NSW Library Act and to celebrate public libraries in NSW we will be featuring each library service on our blog, Twitter and Facebook during the month of October.

We’ll kick off #libraryaday on 1 October in the run up to the anniversary of the Library Act on 3 November.

Each day we will create a blog post about library services starting with a particular letter, for example:

A is for Albury, Armidale Dumaresq Ashfield and Auburn Library Services, along with a web link and Twitter handle.

We will tweet about each library service from the State Library Twitter account @statelibrarynsw using the hashtags #libraryact75th and #libraryaday

We’ll also feature a weekly wrap-up on the State Library Facebook page www.facebook.com/statelibrarynsw

This is a great opportunity for NSW public libraries to promote themselves and each other. We encourage you to retweet our tweets about your library and other libraries, share our blog posts and like our Facebook posts! You can retweet, share or like, add your tagline or a photo or other information. Up to you!

We’ll start this campaign on Wednesday 1 October, which is #followalibrary day. #followalibrary day is an international celebration of libraries. People all over the world participate by adding the hashtag #followalibrary to their tweets.

See the our previous blog post for more info about #followalibraryday
