Arrest of Governor Bligh January 26, 1808. Copy of the original manuscript documents, ca. 1890's / New South Wales Government Printer ca. 1890's

The arrest of Governor Bligh. It was alleged by the soldiers that they discovered Bligh hiding under a bed. The above is a facscimile of an old torn painting exhibited at Sydney shortly after his arrest. The original has been presented to the National Art Gallery, Sydney, by the descendents of Colonel George Johnston. Bligh's version of the affair.... " (14.3 x 21.8 cm.) (PX*D 332)
