Boating party setting forth from a castle1890-1910
Over 200 illustrations on panels and single pages removed from bound manuscripts have been attributed to a mysterious artist known as the Spanish Forger. The forger worked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, scraping paint from medieval parchments and creating miniatures which he then sold as authentic medieval works of art.
