Nancy May Kilgour was a short-story writer and artist, married to fellow artist Jack Noel Kilgour. Born in Melbourne in 1904, she later attended Julian Ashton’s Sydney Art School.

Nancy was an accomplished artist, exhibiting at Sydney’s Macquarie Galleries in 1941, as well as being a regular exhibitor with the NSW Society of Artists. She and Jack staged joint exhibitions at Macquarie Galleries in 1943, 1946 and 1950, and also in Brisbane and Adelaide.

Nancy Kilgour died in Sydney in 1954. The Kilgour family papers are held in the Mitchell Library.
