Public displays of homosexuality and celebration of gay and lesbian culture in Sydney were key political tactics used to campaign for the right to be visible. This poster was designed by radical sexual and political agitprop artist activist David McDiarmid. Dances organised by Lesbian and Gay Liberations groups in the 1970s generated funds to cover rent and support other activities like publishing.
