Set in the enchanting world of the gumnut babies, the book was released with a plain dust jacket, an illustrated cover and two colour plates and 19 full-page plates in sepia. Another success story for author and illustrator May Gibbs, it was described in the press as ‘enchanting and delightful’. Little Obelia has proved popular for generations and is still in print today.
