The Vestibule of the Mitchell wing features; the Marble replica of the 1644 Tasman Map, some of the finest stained glass in Sydney by artist Arthur Benfield and a magnificent white Italian Botticino marble staircase with turned balustrades. All of these features add to the neo classical splendour of the historic State Library. The Mitchell Vestibule is a unique venue for cocktail parties and ceremonies for up to 150 people.
