A Day of Mourning: Protest Photos from the Tribune Newspaper

Celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Cook’s arrival at Kamay (Botany Bay) were boycotted by Indigenous Australians in 1970. Their protest against white Australia’s official re-enactment ceremony was captured by a photographer from the Tribune newspaper.
