Sedition showcases the State Library’s little known collections of attention grabbing poster art of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Produced during the creative tsunami of public art and protest that broke ou in Sydney’s underground at the time, these posters plastered the walls of the inner city with thought-provoking political and promotional messages. Highlighting issues close to the hearts of Sydney’s artists and activists of the day through provocative combinations of word and image, these artworks offer us tantalising glimpses into the urban landscape of our recent past.
