Join Isabelle McGowan for a bookbinding class aimed at beginners and learn the basics of creating your own handmade books from scratch! In this intensive class, you'll be guided by an industry professional, as you learn about and familiarise yourself with the materials and various bookbinding techniques such as sewing, cutting and assembling used in this craft practice. Isabelle will teach you two different bookbinding techniques, and you will make your own writer's journal and sketch diary.

You will also view exquisite examples of bookbinding from the collection of the State Library of NSW. Everyone will go home with two complete handmade books. All materials and tools are supplied.
