Family History webinar: Oral History for Family Historians
Family History Month
Oral histories complement the more traditional forms of history making such as written histories and biographies. They are increasingly being used by family history researchers to put into context the life experiences of family members. In this session we will look at examples of how the Library’s collection of oral histories has illuminated people’s family history research.
This 60-minute webinar is suitable for beginners to family history.
Participants will receive a PDF handout of the key elements covered in the session.
Presented by Bruce Carter, Information & Access Librarian with Maria Savvidis, Collection Strategy & Development Librarian & President of Oral History NSW.
11 August 2021 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Online Admission: $10.00
