The 2019 Iranica Conference

Mirrors of Iran: A Continuum of Architectural Heritage

The Association of Iranica in Australasia will be hosting a full day of engagement, discussion and cutting-edge research on Iranian Architectural Heritage 

The 2019 conference will broadly explore vernacular architectural traditions of Iran from earliest and Islamic periods to contemporary settings including related fields in Visual Art, Design, World Heritage and Gardens. 

The conference also brings together scholars and researchers from a wide reach, to take participants through a unique and exhilarating journey of the continuing unfoldment of Iranian Architecture. Other key features of the program will include a live ensemble performance of Persian traditional music played on authentic instruments, a live demonstration of Persian calligraphy, a visual photographic display of historic monument buildings in Iran and a special screening of the newly released documentary film entitled: Arch of Ctesiphon: “Taq Kasra”
